Sea fishing in Bantry Bay is a great way for you to relax and an even better way to see the spectacular south coast and the surrounding islands.

Charter a boat for a full-day, half-day and evening. Rates vary depending on your requirements.

Specialist Angling Charters are offered for those of you who wish to target specific species, specimen fish or try new methods of angling.

We suggest 6 rods fishing at any one time for first time and learners. For the more experienced anglers and bare boat charters, we allow full capacity.

Bantry Bay offers plenty to catch from the seabed, whether on the drift or at anchor. For the full day we steam down the bay towards Sheep’s head and Bere Island to the reefs and marks, where we catch bait fish on route to use on the bottom.

Most days drifting will produce, Mackerel, Cod, Pollock, Coalie, Ling and Wrasse. Pollock being one of the most abundant fish and although they are not everyone’s dream catch, they certainly keep everyone entertained between the more desirable catches and they take the bait with quite a tug. Ground fishing will usually produce Conger, Ling, Pouting, Bull Huss and Common Skate.

We operate a fully insured and licensed charter boat from Bantry Bay and Glengarriff. We can also operate out of Castletownbere and run trips to the Bull Rk, Dursey Island on request.

All trips will be tailored to suit your needs. Anglers will benefit from the skipper’s experience and local knowledge, with advice and guidance on-hand at all times. All levels of anglers are catered for. Our licence allows us to operate 12 months of the year.

We provide, life jackets and tea and coffee making facilities. You'll have a great range of rods, reels and tackle to choose from. All charters have the provision of a safe and secure trip on-board and a comfortable stable boat with outside seating and toilet facilities.

PARKING:
Glengarriff - Due to a lot of tour buses coming and going from the pier during the tourist season, it is not always possible to park along side it. Therefore we ask, where possible, to drop off passengers and bags near the pier and park your car along the top of the road.
Bantry - We will be picking up from the railway pier, therefore, you can drop passengers and bags close by the pier and park in the public car park along side Supervalu
IMPORTANT TRIP INFORMATION
All charters are dependent on weather and fish catches and dolphin/whale sightings cannot be guaranteed. The Irish weather and Atlantic Ocean sea conditions can be unpredictable during the year, even in summer. Our Skipper will make their decision to sail based on many years of experience, always keeping in mind passenger safety and comfort. However, depending on wind direction and swell, it may be possible to go ahead with your charter within sheltered waters.
