For the early bird, our Sunrise tour is a fantastic way to see the South west coast in the most beautiful light of the day.

Bantry Bay and Glengarriff harbour has an abundance of wildlife. On our Sunrise tour, from when we leave the pontoon we encounter firstly local sea birds, including oyster catchers, curlew, grey herons, egrets, cormorants, Swans, and several species of duck. If you are very lucky you might see the White tailed Sea Eagle flying overhead.

A mixed colony of both Atlantic Grey Seals and Common Seals can be seen, hauled out on the prominent rocks and reefs as we pass by.

Harbour Porpoise are resident all year round. These shy and elusive creatures can be seen on our morning tours, as well as Common dolphins, who are a popular sighting with our visitors during our trips down the bay. Groups of adults and young from 8 to 50 in a group can be seen and often bow ride along with the boat, creating a lifetime memory for anyone onboard.

Minke Whales may be seen in pairs or small feeding groups and are regular visitors to Bantry Bay. These Baleen Whales are the smallest of their kind in Irish waters.

Of course, while we are out on the water we can supply rods and tackle so you can try your hand at fishing for Mackerel, you might even get a chance to taste it!

Binoculars will be provided for the duration of the cruise. Don't forget your camera!

Please be at the pick up point 5-10 minutes before your trip departs. Pick up at Glengarriff Pier unless otherwise arranged.
If you are not there before your trip departure time you will not be refunded and the boat cannot wait as it is not fair to other passengers.

PARKING:
Glengarriff - Due to a lot of tour buses coming and going from the pier during the tourist season, it is not always possible to park along side it. Therefore we ask, where possible, to drop off passengers and bags near the pier and park your car along the top of the road.

IMPORTANT TRIP INFORMATION
All charters are dependent on weather and fish catches and dolphin/whale sightings cannot be guaranteed.
The Irish weather and Atlantic Ocean sea conditions can be unpredictable during the year, even in summer. Our Skipper will make their decision to sail based on many years of experience, always keeping in mind passenger safety and comfort.
However, depending on wind direction and swell, it may be possible to go ahead with your charter within sheltered waters.
