Departing from either Bantry or Glengarriff in the best light of the day, you might encounter any of Bantry Bay’s underwater or airborne residents, from Glengarriff’s iconic white tailed sea eagle, common dolphins, porpoises and even minke whales. Take in the sights while fishing the evening away.

Local Wildlife

With this special experience, you will explore Bantry Bay in the evening, cruising through the waters against a backdrop of some of the most beautiful sunsets and later starry skies. Dolphins are a regular sighting for us on the Sunset Tour, and their playful nature sometimes brings them right up to ride in the wake of the boat.

Fishing

Of course, while you are out on the water we supply rods and tackle so you can try your hand at fishing. We like to do a spot of bottom fishing in the evening time. This can bring out the competitive side of people when the big fish start coming in! Gather your friends for an alternative night out or whisk your loved one away for a night of romance sailing away into the sunset. Relax under the stars and leave the rest to us. You are welcome to bring some food and drinks. Don’t forget your camera!

We provide life jackets to all. All charters have the provision of a safe and secure trip on-board and a comfortable stable boat with outside seating and toilet facilities. The mackerel fishing trip is dependent on weather and catches cannot be guaranteed, but we will certainly try our best.
